Prior to September 2012, links could be posted anywhere in a post - there was no specific designated spot. In September 2012, Hometalk added a "link" field to include a link in your post. This link appears at the bottom of the post, with the words "To see more:" before it.
In March 2014, we started requiring 100 words and 3 images in order to include a link in the bottom of a post. At that time, there were many posts that had already been submitted that did not meet this requirement. We did not remove the links from these posts. However, if you edited anything you posted before March, 2014, submitting the edit caused our system to recalculate whether or not the post fulfilled the link requirements. If it did not, the link was automatically removed.
We recognize that this was a mistake on our part and we apologize. We have records of any edits that were made in the past year and we will be reinstating those links. We have since corrected the error and posts that were created before March 2014 can be edited and will not lose the link, even if they contain fewer than 100 words and 3 photos.
